Should Prisoners be Entitled to Great Plumbing?

,

This week, I wanted to touch on an experience that a PlumbZilla inside sales rep had over the phone in the past few months. One of our customers, a purchasing agent at a prison, was calling in to order a water cooler. No problem, we love selling water coolers, and he was doing his job as usual. However, he proceeded to explain why he had been instructed to call and order this new water cooler. Essentially, a group of prisoners continually complained about the current water cooler not having cold enough water until someone finally gave in and had a new unit ordered. If you know anything about the United States prison system, you'll know a couple of basic facts: 1) it's not an ideal place to live, but 2) our prisoners get treated extremely well. Privileges vary from prison to prison and security level to security level, but many American prisoners enjoy free cable, food, and lodging, commodities some hard working, law abiding don't even have. The water cooler instance is a perfect example. Prisoner rights and entitlement is an interesting topic, and we got to see it first hand ourselves not too long ago. What do you guys think about the water cooler story, or prisoner rights in general? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Thanks for reading, and as always, have a great week!
